If you're serving champagne, wrap the bottles with an elegant covering.
Materials needed for two wrappers:
- An embroidered, monogrammed, or other decorated white linen napkin, approximately 12" square
- Approximately 2 1/3 yards of 1/2" wide gathered lace.
- Cut the napkin in half diagonally, being sure the most elaborately decorated corners remain intact.
- Fuse, glue, or sew a narrow hem on the cut edges.
- Apply the lace to all the outside edges of the wrap by lapping the napkin over the lace straight edge and gluing, fusing, or sewing them together.
- Tie the narrowed points around the necks of the champagne bottles.
